CAVI Lemma: Fragmentary RF pelike. Phintias. Last quarter sixth. 510-500.
CAVI Subject: A: Dionysus with a maenad and a satyr. B: athletes.
CAVI Inscriptions: A: along the satyr's left (forward) leg: Φλεβοδοκο(ς). Between his legs:
εγραφ(σ)εν and Φιντια(ς). The maenad: Κ[ι]σ[σ]ινε.
CAVI Comments: The frs. were put together by Villard (ARV[2]). I do not know if B is
inscribed. ARV[2] (1963), 1623 notes that Vatican, Astarita 280, perhaps by
Oltos, has a satyr named Φλε..., and that Phlebippos occurs on Naples 2617
(ARV[2] 65/108) by Oltos. [Also on CAVI 6614.]
