Remarks: Statues in round of 2 warriors in combat, left figure (MPH 45.5) kneeling in profile to left with helmeted head turned back & upward, right figure advancing to left. Both figures wear cuirasses over tunics, thigh guards & greaves (H 16.5). Left figure holds shield on left arm (Diam 25) & sword with curved blade in lowered right hand, & rests right foot & left knee on horizontal border (H 3.3, D 5.5) painted with meander. Along left lower side, wide volute band (missing volute at top) with 2 channels, connected to horizontal border by flat plaque (Th 2) painted cream with red & black circles; outer edge of volute band formed by cutout wave pattern (H wave 7.4, Th 2), painted black with cream outlines.

Standing warrior's thigh guard painted brown with edge decoration of tongues outlined in black on cream ground with red central vertical band
