attributed to the manner of the Kleophrades Painter, very early, in ARV[1]
129/4, but withdrawn in ARV[2] 193 (see 1633 for bibl.). A *photo of the latter
shows the nonsense inscription ισλι, which is reminiscent of the Kleophrades
Painter's very early nonsense inscriptions{2}.
- CAVI Footnotes: {1} not in ARV[2] or Para., but in ARV[1] Beazley says that he had earlier
attributed the fr. to Euthymides, but that it might be by the Kleophrades
