CAVI Comments: Why does Kunisch 20 n. 88 list this inscription as (an illegible)
kalos-inscription? It should just be the flautist's name. Possible restorations:
Ικαρος (LGPN ii, late 5th cent.). Nικαρχος (common). Δικαιος and other names
beginning Δικα-. Κιλικας (ibid., ii B.C.). Μαρικας (Athens, Acr. ii, 1512: Gr.:
Μαρικαδος, which might be a term of opprobrium; mid-fifth, according to LGPN
ii). Σικανος (6th cent. potter; 5th.; see LGPN ii).
