CAVI Lemma: RF Nolan amphora Dresden Painter. Second quarter fifth. Ca. 470.
CAVI Subject: A: woman with wool and a wool basket. B: youth.
CAVI Inscriptions: A: to right of her head, in tiny letters: κλhκις{1}. B: to right of the
youth's head: κ(α)λος{2}.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} I merely try to give the shape of the letters; this is not a true heta.
CVA speculates: Καλκις = Χαλκις. I thought of Κλυκις = Γλυκις (Γλυκη is known).
Obviously badly miswritten. {2} alpha lacks the cross stroke.
CAVI Comments: All the letters are very idiosyncratic and peculiar.
CAVI Number: 3575
