CAVI Inscriptions: On the BG lip, Grr.: A: ϙυλοατια εμι{1}. B: near the left handle: [.]ϙλα{2}.
starting near the right handle, upside down: Φετ[τ]αλα καλα.
CAVI Footnotes: {1} the koppa (rightly read by Wolters) = Roman Ρ. The picture in Droop shows
a cross (chi) for the tau, but I have kept Wolters' reading, since my sketch
seems to agree. {2} Nicole read Φειαλα καλα and ϙλα. The last is not shown in
Droop or Wolters, but I saw it and Wolters has it in the facs.; he considers it
a false start. It is upide down as is the other inscription on B.
