FACE IN FLAT RELIEF, BUT SHARP. UNUSUAL ROUND MOULDING ALONG BOTTOM OF HEAD, CURVING UNDER VOLUTES & ENDING IN SPIRAL BELOW SHELL FRAME. TALL RECESSED BASE. FLAT BACK WITH COVER TILE ATTACHED TO BOTTOM OF PLAQUE. TOP OF THIN COVER TILE HAS UNUSUAL SQUARE RIDGE (H 2.5, W 3) RUNNING 9 CM ALONG TOP OF COVER TILE FROM BACK OF PLAQUE. TRACES OF BURNING
