(eds.), Exekias und seine Welt, Tagung an der Universität Zürich vom 1.–2. März 2019, Züricher Archäologische Forschungen 8 (Zurich, 2022): PL.38B
CAVI Lemma: Fr. of BF cup. From Athens, Agora. Unattributed (?). Third quarter sixth.
CAVI Subject: A: handle zone: at left: right-end part of a board game: a table with pieces
on top (10 preserved); on its right, two bearded men seated to left, one a
player, the other an onlooker. Further to right, the back of a man seated to
right.
CAVI Inscriptions: A: handle zone: starting at the back of the onlooker's head and curving
downward along his back: εγο δε τετ[τ]αρα.
CAVI Comments: I assume that there was another player on the left with another inscription.
Cf. Boston 95.15 (CAVI 2619), where the verb is φερο. Large and clear, almost
epigraphic, letters. Not in Agora 23. I take it this is a recent find. Camp does
not give a number.
CAVI Number: 211d
