A city in Lycia. Site of a major heroon of the 4th century BC, excavated by Austrians; the sculpture all removed to Vienna. It took the form of a large gated enclosure, with monumental tombs within, and with double rows of frieze sculpture on both sides of most of the walls. They include scenes of contemporary battle including siege scenes, and many episodes of Greek myth.
