Klytaimnestra

Boston Museum of Fine Arts 1863.1246.In mythology, sister of Helen, wife of Agamemnon, and mother of Orestes and Electra. She kills Agamemnon, with the help of her paramour Aigisthos, and is in turn killed by Orestes; the former scene is shown in art but she may attend Aigisthos' slaying. Her weapon is an axe.
