30. Komasts and athletes
The subjects are in Greek terms broadly ephebic, with paraphernalia reflecting either the post-symposiac komos, or the exercise ground (palaistra) or sometimes both. The komasts are mainly late archaic in posture, the athletes more 5th-century. All subjects are readily paralleled on Greek gems.
