CAVI Footnotes: {1} the first letter resembles an arrow pointing upward. {2} The readings are
from the photo, which is not very clear.
CAVI Comments: Ex Baltimore, D.M. Robinson. Turnbull characterizes the inscriptions as
follows: "The `inscriptions' are nonsense, strings of T's and X's used simply to
break up the space around the figures and make a pattern that links them
visually to the intricate arrangement of palmettes on either side."
