Kleobis.

- Copy of one of a pair of marble statues representing the brothers Kleobis and Biton.
- The statues:
- are Greek originals of about 580 BC.
- are inscribed with the names of the brothers, and the signature of the sculptor [Poly?]medes of Argos.
- were found at Delphi, north-west of the Athenian Treasury.
- are now in Delphi Museum, 467 (statue of Kleobis) and 980 (plinth).

Description:Although the pair has always been considered Kleobis and Biton, according to epigrapher it reads on the thigh "Polydeukes";i.e. the Dioscuri. The boots are appropriate for the Dioscuri.
